Barb and I just returned from Air Mobility Command's Phoenix Rally at MacDill Air Force Base, Fl., where Gen. and Mrs. Duncan J. McNabb, AMC commander, hosted all mobility active, Reserve, and Guard Wing commanders and their spouses, along with the AMC staff and Guard/Reserve leadership, for a superb update on command issues and challenges for the year ahead.

Team McGuire was well-represented with McGuire's leadership team of Maj. Gen. and Mrs. Scott Gray, USAF Expeditionary Center commander, Brig. Gen. A.J. Stewart, 21st Expeditionary Mobility Task Force commander, Col. and Mrs. James Kerr, 514th Air Mobility Wing commander, Col. and Mrs. Steven Bernard, 621st Contingency Response Wing commander, and Col. Mike Cunniff, 108th Air Refueling Wing commander.

In addition to the briefings and discussions, the leadership perspective from General McNabb, Gen. Norton Schwartz, USTRANSCOM commander, and Air Force Secretary Michael W. Wynne, as well as the fellowship among fellow mobility leaders made for a wonderful week. Additionally, General McNabb passed on to everyone how proud he is of the mobility team and the tremendous teamwork that is evident in AMC's 900 worldwide missions per day. We couldn't do our mission, nor take care of our people, without the faithful support from our Reserve and Guard partners or the steadfast support of our spouses and families.

Speaking of teamwork, I am reminded of what a great job the 305th and 514th Air Mobility Wings are doing as we ramp up for our combined MOBEX this weekend. This is essential training for our first blended ORI next year and sets the example of Total Force teamwork for the rest of the Air Force. I have no doubt our "Can Do" attitude, "Unrivaled Wingman" commitment and citizen-soldier sacrifice will serve us well in the MOBEX and earn high marks on the ORI.

Lastly, I was most honored to represent the "Can Do" Wing at Phoenix Rally this week. I couldn't think of a better place to be, or better wing to serve. I extend my heartiest appreciation for your enduring and abiding support of the "Can Do" Wing and Team McGuire!

Be safe and I'll see you in MOPP 4 in the coming days! Can Do!
