87th Mission Support Group

MSG:
The 87th Mission Support Group delivers communications, cyber-security, transportation, supply, logistics, morale-welfare-recreation, human resource management, force protection, and contracting services to the nation’s only tri-service joint base. The group is comprised of over 2,000 joint-military and civilian personnel from more than 30 Air Force specialties who deliver services and support to the installation’s diverse community of active duty service members, reservists, national guardsmen, retirees, federal civilians, dependents, and contingency operations around the world.

CS:
The 87th Communications Squadron provides the joint base with critical cyber capabilities including: high-speed data connectivity, data storage, network infrastructure, voice services, communications security, cyber security, radio networks, mass warning and notification systems, and cyber mission defense teams (MDT). The unit supports mission partners from all military services, enhancing the installation's overall cyber readiness posture.

SFS:
The 87th Security Forces Squadron provides world-class law enforcement and force protection to the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst. Joint-military and civilian professional “Defenders” safeguard and defend the installation, personnel, and families 24 hours a day, 365 days a year enabling mission partner success.

LRS:
The 87th Logistics Readiness Squadron is the Department of Defense’s only tri-service unit of its kind. The squadron is the installation’s primary authority for materiel distribution and deployment management. The unit directs and manages processes related to vehicles, cargo and passenger movement, supplies, equipment, deployment planning and operations, fuels, and cryogenics necessary to support operations of mission partners across Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst.

FSS:
The 87th Force Support Squadron provides human resource management, morale and recreation services, food service, lodging support, child care, training management, and family readiness functions to joint base service members, their dependents, retirees and other eligible personnel.

CONS:
The 87th Contracting Squadron provides best-value and performance-based acquisition support to Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst through electronic contracting processes. Customer support includes operational support services, construction and demolition projects, to include architect-engineer design. The squadron also provides mission-ready contingency contracting officers to support global military operations.
