AMC TES evaluations tactics for NASA rescues
Air Mobility Command Test and Evaluation Squadron Master Sgt. Thomas Litteer looks on as test participants from Alaska and Hawaii Air National Guard units are briefed on illumination flare and maritime position marker deployment procedures onboard a C-17A aircraft in preparation of the AMC Test and Evaluation tactics, development and evaluation test which commenced Jan. 22, 2020 at Patrick Air Force Base, Florida. This operational test assessed protocols for deployment of flares and position markers from a C-17 aircraft to provide expanded capabilities for NASA crewed space flight rescues.
