U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Marines assigned to the Marine Wing Support Squadron 472 approach an AH-1 Cobra helicopter to initiate the fueling process at their forward arming and refueling point during a combined arms live-fire exercise at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., March 22, 2026. The FARP training familiarized Marines with the procedures for refueling aircraft in field environments. The CALFEX, led by 2nd Battalion, 25th Marines Regiment, integrated forces from Marine Forces Reserve units based in New Jersey and operating out of JB MDL to conduct aviation and ground operations throughout the exercise, linking logistics, fires and maneuver elements in a continuous training scenario.
