F-4 Phantom II – A legend restored to glory

Volunteers who helped in the restoration and transport of the F-4 Phantom II stand in front of the historic military aircraft in Hangar 1 at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., July 1, 2026. The restoration project, which took 13 months to complete, was accomplished by a team of 13 volunteers that included Airmen, Sailors, retired veterans, members of the Navy Lakehurst Historical Society and other civilians.
