F-4 Phantom II – A legend restored to glory

The newly restored F-4 Phantom II military aircraft is displayed in the Navy Lakehurst Air Park at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., July 1, 2026. The restoration, which took a team of volunteers 13 months to complete, included sheet metal and canopy repair, sanding the aircraft from the top down, and application of paint, lettering, insignia and clear coating for long-lasting preservation.
