Joint Base MDL hosts Military Leadership and Law Symposium

Commanders, enlisted leaders and first sergeants from Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey, listen to an ethics presentation from Sean Lardner, 87th Staff Judge Advocate ethics counselor, during a Military Leadership and the Law Symposium Aug. 13, 2019. U.S. Air Force Col. Bridgette Gigliotti, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey, commander, and Chief Master Sgt. Bill Fitch, Joint Base MDL command chief, provide opening remarks to the Military Leadership and the Law Symposium held at Tommy B’s Aug. 13, 2019. Gigliotti and Fitch recalled prior experiences where Airmen ultimately were removed from service, but made sure that individuals had a plan on where they were going, how they would get there and if they had living arrangements so they didn’t end up on the streets. Mike King, 87th Staff Judge Advocate commander, gives a presentation on how SJA can assist commanders making tough legal decisions during a Military Leadership and the Law Symposium held on Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey, Aug. 13, 2019. King emphasized that SJA wants to be in-step with leadership teams throughout the installation to make legal decisions smoother and in a fair and timely manner.
