Fitness on Request Kiosks

  • Published
  • By 87th Force Support Squadron
What: Three kiosks are installed at each of the main Fitness Centers on JB MDL to facilitate "instant" fitness through 30-40 pre-loaded classes that include both audio and visual elements to guide users through high- and low-intensity aerobic workouts. Fitness Center staff will determine a schedule based on initial user feedback and class popularity. Kiosks can be used by individuals or groups during unscheduled operating hours. Live staff-lead classes will still be provided for certain popular classes (please see below).

When: Currently installed at all three locations however will not be officially kicked off until July when contracted classes are no longer available (limited live classes will be available at the fitness centers and taught by certified fitness staff)

Locations: McGuire Fitness Center, Griffith Field House, and Lakehurst Fitness
Purpose: AFPC/SV fitness initiative and solution which could benefit installations the most due to reduction of funds dedicated for group exercise contract instructors. The approximate cost savings to JB MDL is $100K annually (no longer providing contracted free fitness instructor classes; only staff led fitness classes).

Classes: On Request: Fusion (Yoga), Vibe (Dance), Stomp (Step), Rev (Spin), Kinetics (Circuit Training), TKO (Kickboxing)

Live Class: Zumba, TRX, Yoga, RIM (Retirees in Motion), Ab Attack, Boot Camp, Kickboxing
