Force Support closures and facilities at limited operations Published Aug. 29, 2011 By Joint Base Public Affairs Office JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHUIRST, N.J. -- Due to continued issues restoring power to Dix, various child care, youth, education and recreational activities will be closed or at limited operations until further notice. As of 11 a.m., the ifollowing facilities impacted are: - Child Development Centers. The Dix CDC will be closed until power can be restored. Children of mission essential personnel (who's children normally go to the Dix CDC) requiring care should take their children to McGuire CDC II, located at 2414 Tuskegee Airmen Ave., McGuire CDC I, McGuire CDC II and the Lakehurst CDC are open for normal operations. - McGuire Fitness center will be open at 10 a.m. for normal operations. Locker room showers will be available for use by residents without power. - School-Aged programs, located on Dix, opened at 9 a.m. for normal operations. - Dix Dining Facilities have resumed normal operations; however, they will have limited meal options. - Falcon Creek Grill hours of operation are: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. - The Falcon Creek and Fountain Green Golf Course's will be closed for golf. - Dix Bowling Center will be closed; there is a possiblity that it may open at 3 p.m. - McGuire Education Center will be closed. - Indoor and Outdoor Aquatics will be closed. - Griffith Field House will be closed. - Arts and Crafts Center will be closed. - Dix Recreation Center will be closed. - Range 14 Rod and Gun Club will be closed. - The Veterinary Clinic will be closed. All McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst FSS (MWR) activities not mentioned above are open for normal operations.
