Teens are invited to attend orientation

All Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst students attending 7th through 9th grades to the Pemberton Township, Northern Burlington or Lakehurst schools are invited to attend the annual JB MDL Teen Orientation. The orientation provides students with an opportunity to make new friends before the schools starts learn more about our community and have fun.

The Teen Orientation includes games and activities to promote teamwork, encourage peer interaction, increase leadership skills, and develop new friendships. After the planned activities, teens will have lunch follow by a tour of their respective schools. After the tour students will be transported to the John F. Mann Recreation Park for some fun on the go-carts, in the batting cages, playing miniature golf and refreshments. Lakehurst students will go directly to the park after team building activities.

The orientation starts 10 a.m. at the Dix Youth Center, 1279 Locust Street, Garden Terrace Housing area, and ends 4:30 p.m.at the John F. Mann Recreation Park.

The Warfighter and Family Readiness Center requires registration and signed parental permission prior to the orientation. Call 562-2767 or visit the WFRC at 5201 Maryland Avenue for more information.
