Joint Base Commander's Call set for Oct 1

Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst commander, Col. Gina Grosso, will host a commander's call Oct. 1 at 9:30 a.m. to signify full operational capability of the nation's only tri-service joint base. 

"This day has been a long time in coming," said Colonel Grosso. "We have worked extremely hard to ensure a seamless transition. The official consolidation of installation support functions will provide more efficient support and will spread best practices across all three bases. I look forward to leading Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst as we begin the next chapter in its illustrious history."

All joint base mission partners are invited to attend the historic joint base commander's call.  Anyone interested in attending is highly encouraged to use the installation provided transportation for McGuire, Dix and Lakehurst.

Location: Flightline next to Hangar 3336 (In case of inclement weather, the call will be held inside Hangar 3336.)
Time: 9:30 a.m.; anyone attending must be in their seats by 9:15 a.m.
Who's invited: Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst community (Military - ALL Ranks; Civilians)

Here are the bus routes:

McGuire:
Three buses will run the following route from Thrift Shop parking lot; to the Chapel/Community Center; to the Passenger Terminal; to the 108th Hangar (Location of Joint Base Commander's Call).  Buses will start at 8 a.m. and circle until 9 a.m.

Dix:
Three buses will run the following route from Doughboy parking lot; to the Hospital
parking lot; to the Timmerman Theater parking lot; to the 108th Hangar (Location of Joint Base Commander's Call). Buses will start at 8 a.m. and circle until 9 a.m.

Lakehurst:
Four buses will provide joint base personnel transportation to the Joint Base Commander's Call.  Two buses will pick-up individuals at Public Works, building 5 parking lot; one bus will pick-up at Command Headquarters, building 150, rear parking lot; one bus will pick-up at the Youth Program/Housing/Chaplain parking lot.  Buses will start at 7:30 a.m.; last run will depart at 8:30 a.m.
