Safety Day
During a safety seminar on electrical hazards, Al Saharic, safety supervisor at Power Train Associates, demonstrates what happens when synthetic rubber, which is used to manufacture shoes and tires, comes in contact with electrical currents, disproving the myth that rubber is not a conductor of electricity. Mr. Saharic used a scale model of a street construction site energized by 15,000 volts of electricity to demonstrate the safety hazards of electrical currents. The safety seminar occurred here April 15 in Building 2202. (U.S. Air Force photo/Carlos Cintron)
