Best of 305th Air Mobility Wing honored

Ten McGuire Airmen were honored during the 305th Air Mobility Wing Annual Awards ceremony Jan. 30 at The Club. 

The winners from each category were: Anthony Ellison, 305th Civil Engineer Squadron Civilian Category I; Lawrence Wilshere, 305th Maintenance Squadron Civilian Category II; Denise McLane, 305th Air Mobility Wing Civilian Category III; Allyson Luddington, 2nd Air Refueling Squadron Phoenix Spouse of the Year; Senior Airman Brian Buhrer, 305th CES Airman of the Year; Staff Sgt. Douglas Jurgens, Jr., 32nd Air Refueling Squadron NCO of the Year; Senior Master Sgt. Rodney Goodman, 305th Logistics Readiness Squadron senior NCO of the Year; Senior Master Sgt. Philip Gaudette, 305th Aerial Port Squadron First Sergeant of the Year; 1st Lt. Cameron Radon, 32nd Air Refueling Squadron junior CGO of the Year; and Capt. Matthew Stanford, 305th CES senior CGO of the Year. 

"The annual awards capture the whole-person concept and recognize the best of the best," said Chief Master Sgt. John Gillette, 305th AMW command chief. "Airmen who excel in their primary duties, give back to the base and community, and improve personally and professionally, including pursuing advanced education." 

Nominees are submitted through groups within the 305th AMW. The annual award winners will all move onto the Air Mobility Command competition; all enlisted winners will move onto the Air Force-level competition for "12 Outstanding Airmen of the Year."
