Right, Col. Scott Smith, 305th Air Mobility Wing vice commander, presents a McGuire Can Do Crew award to Staff Sgt. Joshua Bowen, 305th Maintenance Operations Squadron. His nomination is as follows: “Sergeant Bowen epitomizes the characteristics of integrity on a daily basis. A great example of these characteristics was his assignment to load GO81 (a core automated maintenance data system used to record all maintenance actions on Air Mobility Command aircraft) for Pacific Air Force members at Kadena AB, Japan, and Hickam AFB, Hawaii. He was hand-selected to fly out, load the new system, transfer data and train PACAF members on accurate GO81 operation. Not only did he take on this challenge like a champion, but he completed all tasks in a timely manner (almost half the time it would normally take). Sergeant Bowen was a perfect selection for this assignment and exemplifies integrity, followership and leadership on a daily basis. According to Tech. Sgt. Sean Flowers, ‘We all have our bad days, but even Sergeant Bowen’s bad days serve as a positive example of how we should behave as members of the greatest fighting force in the world. I’m both honored and lucky to work with him!’”
