Devil Raiders finish first-ever UCI

MCGUIRE AIR FORCE BASE, N.J. --  After months of hard work and preparation, the 621st Contingency Response Wing achieved positive results from an Air Mobility Command Unit Compliance Inspection held here Nov. 18-24.

The first UCI administered by the AMC Inspector General to an Air Force CRW, the team of approximately 20 inspectors arrived Nov. 18 to evaluate how well the "Devil Raiders" of the 621st follow functional checklists put in place by AMC. 

Inspected on nine mission areas, one by-law requirement and one special interest item, the wing earned an overall grade of "Satisfactory" with five areas graded "Excellent", five graded "Satisfactory" and one graded "Marginal". The wing also received nine individual and two team awards. 

According to the inspection's executive summary, 621st CRW personnel were well prepared and displayed a high degree of professionalism during this first-ever UCI. 

"The members of our wing have done a fantastic job getting ready for this inspection," said Col. Brian O'Connor, 621st CRW commander. 

"Throughout the UCI preparation, our men and women examined and refined our programs and implemented changes that are not just short-term fixes, but long-term solutions. We still have room to grow and improve, but I couldn't be more proud of what we've accomplished to date."
