Team McGuire members are invited to celebrate the fall season during Oktoberfest, Oct. 3, 5 to 9 p.m., in the parking lot of The Club.

The annual event will feature German food, including several varieties of "wurst," inflatable rides and face painting for children, a German orchestra, and a broad assortment of foreign and domestic beverages for adults.

"Oktoberfest is a traditional festival held each year in Munich, Germany," said Monty Dunn, 305th Services Squadron marketing director. "A celebration of the fine beer-making skills of German brew masters, McGuire's Oktoberfest is less about beer and more a fall celebration with great food, entertainment and amusements for children."

Bernie's Orchestra, an authentic multi-piece German band, will play Oktoberfest music all night, Mr. Dunn said. Food, served from 5 to 7 p.m. is free for club members with ala carte pricing for non-members.

"Oktoberfest will be a great chance to build camaraderie between squadrons," said Daniel Cosgrove, 305th SVS community center director. "We hope to see everyone there!"
