Team McGuire families plus food, fun and faith equals Family Fun Day!

All base personnel and family members are encouraged to attend the first Family Fun Day, hosted by the Chapel's Protestant community. The event has been postponed due to weather conditions; a new date will be determined.

"Family Fun Day will be a great way to build relationships outside of our normal everyday connections," said Chaplain (Capt.) Mike Curtis, 305th Air Mobility Wing senior Protestant chaplain. "It's the type of event that affords opportunities to establish real friendships beyond religious barriers. It also provides families a fun, safe environment to enjoy quality time together and to connect with other families in the community."

The event will feature several activities for families to enjoy, including three bouncy castles, an inflatable slide, face painting and a dunk tank. Barbecued hamburgers and hot dogs will also be provided by the chapel. Information about different Chapel services and programs will also be available during the event.

"The highlight of the evening, however, will be a free concert given by the Christ Tabernacle Choir, a 120-voice choir, from a non-denominational Christian church in Queens, N.Y.," Chaplain Curtis said. "Family Fun Day will be an event everyone can enjoy!"

Prior to Family Fun Day, Club Beyond (Youth Group grades 6-12) will have its first Youth Explosion outside the Chapel. Food, fun and great prizes will be available to participants.
