UC hosts several community relations events in support of McGuire and Fort Dix residents. In addition to swimming, residents enjoyed food, music from a live DJ, games and contests. Children, especially, enjoyed the dunk tank, moon bounce and balloons. Housing residents also had their chances at several prizes during the games and raffles, including a flat screen TV, computer, grill, gift cards, tickets to games and concerts, and children's toys. Other than the annual pool party, United Communities' hosts several family-friendly events for housing residents to enjoy. "We have a weekly family night with floats in the lap pool, hamburgers, hot dogs, or pizza, along with other snacks," said Krista Logan, UC leasing consultant. "Every other weekend we have a movie night; the movie is always G-rated and played in the grass by the baby pool when the sun goes down." The staff at United Communities encourages all base housing residents to get involved with activities happening around their neighborhoods. "We encourage UC residents to come out because they can meet their neighbors and participate in a fun and safe family activity," Ms. Logan said. "There is fun for all ages, and there are events to participate in weekly!"
