Vacation Bible School registration underway Published June 16, 2008 By Airman 1st Class Rebekah Phy 305th Air Mobility Wing public affairs McGUIRE AIR FORCE BASE, N.J. -- Vacation Bible School for children, ages 5 and up, will be held June 9-11, 5:45 to 8 p.m., at Chapel 2 here. Free registration is currently underway. This year's theme, "Son Harvest", will be a country fair that teaches children about peace, patience, kindness and love. A country fair party will close out VBS July 12, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and will include a petting zoo, food and fun. "VBS is a great opportunity for children to have a fun time through games, stories, crafts and music," said Chaplain (Capt.) John Boyer, 305th Air Mobility Wing. "The children have a blast while they learn about God!" Chaplain Boyer said the three-day school is a fun and safe way for children to learn what it means to follow God. The children will learn that the chapel can be a fun place to be and that God loves them as they are. "My greatest hope is for the children to equate fun, love, and God with the chapel and the chapel community - and that when they think of God, they know he cares for them," Chaplain Boyer said. Registration is currently underway for VBS. For more information or to register a child, call Cyndi MacReynolds at (732) 534-1362 or call the chapel at (609) 754-HOPE.
