Revamped Airman Magazine online now available Published May 5, 2008 By Air Force Print News SAN ANTONIO -- Airman online has a new look -- and will feature Airmen at war. The magazine's new Web page went online May 1, along with the special May-June issue of the magazine dedicated to profiling some of America's Airmen at war. The Web page change brings the magazine in line with the rest of the Air Force's Web sites. It will have its own Internet address: www.airmanonline.af.mil. "It's a bit retro, but the same great Air Force information -- features, photos and free downloads -- is still available," Airman editor Louis A. Arana-Barradas said. Visitors will be able to click on links that will take them to stories in Web or portable document formats for viewing or printing. "We'd love to get some feedback on our efforts," Mr. Arana-Barradas said. To do that, send an e-mail to editor@afnews.af.mil. Here's a list of the feature stories in this issue: --Into the Future. The Air Force's top leaders outline how Airmen must redefine American airpower to meet the nation's needs for tomorrow. --Airmen at war. Eleven short stories that introduce some of the total force Airmen fighting the war on terror in Iraq and Afghanistan. --Frontline duty: A pictorial look at Airmen in the fray. The issue also includes the traditional Airmail section, a profile on a B-2 Spirit crew chief, a Top-10 piece on avoiding the plague of non-combat injuries and a short story on the last Airman qualified as a fighter ace. As a bonus, there is a pull-out poster suitable for framing of the magazine's Airman at war cover photo.
