McGuire civilian employee vies for public service award Published Nov. 17, 2006 MCGUIRE AIR FORCE BASE, N.J. -- A McGuire civilian employee, Titus Welcome, has been chosen to represent the Air Force to compete for the 2006 Government Employee Insurance Company Military Service Public Service Awards. Mr. Welcome will represent the Air Force in the drug and alcohol abuse prevention category. He's assigned to McGuire as the Drug Demand Reduction Program manager. According to his citation, his "superior professionalism and leadership were instrumental in ensuring a ready 'drug-free' fit fighting force at McGuire. His enthusiasm and attitude is credited with making a positive impact on numerous drug prevention events throughout his base and local communities." Mr. Welcome is now authorized to wear the Air Force Recognition Ribbon.
