As the summer season kicks off, the 87th Force Support Squadron continues to bring fun and excitement to the joint base community. The 87th FSS works with Information, Tickets, and Travel (ITT) to support service members by providing discounted tickets to various recreational events and activities inside and outside New Jersey. Lulani Lobdell, 87th FSS ITT Manager, and Stephen Pivin, 87th FSS community services flight chief, are responsible for managing business operations within the two ITT offices located on ASA Fort Dix and Lakehurst, making them readily available to serve the joint base community.

“Our purpose is to provide any eligible guest with reasonably priced tickets for either leisure, travel, or ticketing events,” said Pivin. “This is something that keeps me energized because I love helping out the community by offering fair deals for entertainment that one cannot get anywhere else.”

Pivin continued explaining that his goal for ITT was to ensure everyone has a variety of options to find leisure either on or off the joint base, or at a local vicinity. He believed that the most challenging part of his job was informing the community about ITT services.

“It is disheartening to know that not many people are aware of ITT’s presence here on this base. We do whatever we can to spread the word to encourage folks of the joint base community to utilize our services during their stay,” said Pivin. “ITT offers many activities and events through our main website and various social media platforms to ensure that the Joint Base MDL community is well-informed without missing out on such advantageous opportunities.”

Though Pivin expressed his challenges, he still remains optimistic and continues to inform the community about ITT. Later, Lobdell discussed about the types of events and activities that ITT offers for the community.

“Here at ITT, we offer Broadway trips, amusement theme park-related military promotion tickets, sports game tickets, cruise bookings and resort vacation bookings, just to name a few,” said Lobdell. “Due to the nature of the military specific discounts being offered, individuals are required to come in-person to one of our ITT offices when signing up for events or buying tickets due to the 100% ID check.”

In addition, Lobdell stated that she and Pivin were still looking out for more attractions to offer, continuing to re-build ITT’s leisure trips program and enhancing the resort booking program “to help military members find the best deals for their vacation getaways.”

Lobdell concluded with ITT’s mission statement, stating that ITT strives to “provide world-class customer service, bringing our military community together through leisure, and helping to create memories.”
