JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST, N.J. --

A Kids Understanding Deployment Operations, also known as KUDOS, event was held at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., Sept. 28, 2024. The program's concept aims to give service members' children the opportunity to gain insight on the pre-deployment tasks their parents must complete through interactive activities and hands-on experiences. Event activities included processing through a simulated deployment line to pick up orders and passports, gear issue, touring a C-17 Globemaster III, interaction with therapy dogs and a welcome home greeting from JB MDL members.
