The 87th Medical Group at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey, is putting the power of prescription requests (requests, check-in or initiation) directly into the hands of its beneficiaries with two new innovative programs designed to slash wait times and boost access to vital medications. Say goodbye to frustrating phone calls and lengthy hold times; say hello to the future of pharmacy services!

The 87th Medical Group is re-introducing its cutting-edge, text-to-activate system, called Q-Anywhere, allowing patients to request prescriptions with the simple tap of a button. Just send a quick text message by using this link https://cxmlink.com/MTF7791 and your medication will be ready for pick-up when it's convenient for you.

Since initiating the service Jan. 31, 2025, the system has processed more than 1,435 patient requests. This revolutionary system eliminates the need to navigate complicated phone menus and frees up valuable time for both patients and pharmacy staff.

But the innovation doesn't stop there. The 87th MDG has also introduced a secure prescription drop-off window, called Q-flow, providing an even more streamlined experience. Simply drop off a written request at Window 6, and your medication activation will be processed efficiently and discreetly. This new option is perfect for those on the go or those who prefer a contactless experience.

"We're committed to providing the highest quality healthcare to our service members, their families, and retirees," says Lt Col Lucas Gasco, 87th MDG pharmacy flight commander. "These new medication activation methods represent a significant step forward in our ongoing efforts to enhance patient care and improve access to essential medications. Most notably, in less than three months, we've saved over 111 hours by streamlining the request process through text and drop-off options compared to our previous methods."

The text-to-activate and drop-off window services are just the latest examples of 87th MDG dedication to leveraging technology and innovation to improve the patient experience. By simplifying the medication activation process, these initiatives not only save valuable time but also contribute to better medication adherence and overall health outcomes.

So, ditch the phone calls and embrace the convenience. 87th MDG is making medication activation requests faster and easier than ever before. Visit https://mcguiredixlakehurst.tricare.mil/ to learn more about these exciting new options and experience the future of healthcare at JB MDL.
