JB officials release annual drinking water consumer confidence reports Published May 26, 2016 By Joint Base Public Affairs JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST, N.J. -- Joint Base officials from the 87th Civil Engineering Group and Aerospace Medicine Squadron released the 2015 Consumer Confidence Reports for the base's three water drinking water systems as of May 26, 2016. The CCR is a federally-mandated document summarizing annual drinking water testing results for public water systems registered with the state. The 87th Civil Engineering Group and Pride Industries maintain the base's water systems and the 87th Aerospace Medicine Squadron monitors the base's drinking water system and sends water samples to the state for analysis. Each report includes system information and water monitoring results for biological, organic, inorganic, and radioactive substances in the water supply. The report also examines if these substances exceed federal or state limits on water-quality parameters outlined by the Environmental Protection Agency in the Safe Drinking Water Act and New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) Safe Drinking Water Act Rules. JB MDL's water systems are registered with the NJDEP, and the water delivered to JB MDL consumers is certified safe to drink.
