Registration open for JB MDL ‘Beast of the East’ Mud Run

JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST, N.J. - -- Registration is now open for Joint Base MDL's 2015 "Beast of the East" 10k Mud Run, scheduled for Sept. 19.

The event is open to the public and features more than 20 obstacles, costume contests and plenty of mud with joint base service members.

To register, visit www.gomdl.com and click on "Beast of the East Mud Run." Participants are divided into civilian and military categories to compete for prizes within several male and female age groups. Prices vary depending on the date of registration.

All participants and spectators must carry photo identification at all times and should be prepared for random vehicle and personal searches. Coolers, bottles and weapons are not permitted. Mud Run participants and spectators should be prepared for additional delays when entering the base, due to elevated security measures.
