Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst Mail Standardization Campaign Published Nov. 26, 2014 By 87th Communications Squadron JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST, N.J. -- The Joint Base Official Mail Center (OMC) and US Postal Service are improving the speed and efficiency you receive mail by standardizing the city name to "Joint Base MDL" effective Nov. 24, 2014. Service members should expect a letter from USPS containing their correct mailing addresses. Take time to make sure all inbound mail has this address on file including, but not limited to: billing agencies, banks, magazine subscriptions, online retailers, etc. Note: The Post Office will continue to deliver to your old address during this transition. Mail addressing errors that will cause delays in delivery: - A misspelled address or addresses missing information. - Incorrect zip codes or city names. - Outdated addresses. - Non-standardized addresses per USPS standards.
