In the Red Zone: Week 4 down, 13 to go

What an interesting Week 4 it was. I picked 10 out of the 14 games correctly, incorrectly picking the Colts to knock off the Jaguars. Who would have thought that Jacksonville kicker Josh Scobee would hit a 59-yard field goal to win the game? I sure didn't. I didn't even think the Jags would be winning at any point in the game, much less throughout most of it.

Another team I keep scratching my head about is the Miami Dolphins. They looked like they might be able to compete in the AFC East, but the last two weeks, they have let me down. This week's bye week might be the best thing for this team. On to my Week 5 predictions.

Kansas City at Indianapolis

Kansas City, coming out of their bye week, has had two weeks to game plan for the Colts. Indianapolis is coming off an embarrassing road-loss in Jacksonville, where they struggled to put away one of the worst teams in the league. Even though the Chiefs are undefeated this year, it is no easy task beating the Colts at home. They have won 14 of their last 15 at home and their only loss came when the starters were pulled due to clinching home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.

Swink's prediction: Colts win at home

Jacksonville at Buffalo

The Jets beat up Buffalo last week in a very one-sided affair. They are hosting a Jacksonville team that has all the momentum in the world after they beat the defending AFC champions last week with a game-winning 59 yard field goal. Realistically, these are two bad teams and the outcome could go either way.

Swink's prediction: Jaguars win on the road

Tampa Bay at Cincinnati

I can't figure out the Bengals. They have one of the most talented teams in the league but don't know how to play as a team. Last week, they finally saw what wide receiver Terrell Owens can bring to the table. Even though Tampa Bay started the season 2-0, they weren't playing anyone of significance. The Bengals responded strongly to their last loss, expect them to do the same at home this week.

Swink's prediction: Bengals win at home

Atlanta at Cleveland

Atlanta barely squeaked by the 49ers last week while Cleveland pulled an upset over the Bengals at home. The Falcons have looked great at times and down right ugly at others. Quarterback Matt Ryan threw two interceptions last week and finished with a QB rating of 67.3. If they want to compete with the Saints for the division title, he must improve his play.

Swink's prediction: Falcons win on the road

St. Louis at Detroit

The Rams are on a roll as they are on a two-game winning streak for the first time since October 2008. They are going to play a Detroit team that has yet to win this season even though they competed well against tough opponents. If Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford is healthy enough to play, we will see the last two No. 1 overall picks from the 2009 and 2010 draft classes battle it out.

Swink's prediction: Lions win at home

Denver at Baltimore

The Broncos have one of the most lopsided offenses in the NFL as they rank first in passing yards and last in rushing. Interesting enough, the Ravens defensively rank first against the pass. This will be an interesting matchup to see if Kyle Orton can throw against this defense on the road.

Swink's prediction: Ravens win at home

Chicago at Carolina

The Panthers have looked horrendous thus far in the season, until they almost upset the defending Super Bowl champions on the road. If they can take the positive things they learned from that game and apply them to face this Bears team that is banged up at quarterback, they have a great chance to win. They have lost wide receiver Steve Smith to an ankle injury, so that could hurt them without the deep threat for young quarterback Jimmy Clausen.

Swink's prediction: Panthers win at home

Green Bay at Washington

The Redskins are coming off a big conference win against the Eagles to host the Packers in Week 5. Even though the Redskins defense did well against Philadelphia, they weren't playing against a quarterback with Aaron Rodgers talent. The Packers defense will be a tough task for Donovan McNabb. He will have to be consistently on target with his passes, which he wasn't able to do against the Eagles.

Swink's prediction: Packers win on the road

NY Giants at Houston

In order for the Giants to win this game on the road, they will have to apply the same amount of pressure they gave the Bears quarterbacks last week, gaining 10 sacks. Look for the Texans to implement their running game early to set up their pass. The Giants defense has been extremely inconsistent this season. Quarterback Matt Shaub is good enough to pick apart the Giants secondary, which ranks 2nd in the league against the pass.

Swink's prediction: Texans win at home

New Orleans at Arizona

The Cardinals released quarterback Matt Leinart to give the starting job to Derek Anderson. After the poor play he showed in San Diego last week, rookie Max Hall stepped in and played well. Regardless of who is in, the Cardinals don't have any shot at winning this game at home against the Saints. It will be easy pickens for Drew Brees against the 29th-ranked defense.

Swink's prediction: Saints win on the road

Tennessee at Dallas

The Cowboys are coming off their bye week to host the Titans, who have looked a bit inconsistent throughout the season on both sides of the ball. Dallas quarterback Tony Romo has had plenty of time to analyze the Titans defense and should have a big game. The Cowboys have won the last three games coming out of the bye week in convincing fashion. Expect this to be no different.

Swink's prediction: Cowboys win at home

San Diego at Oakland

San Diego is coming off a blowout win over the Cardinals and look to carry that momentum into their second divisional game against the Raiders. Even though their record is only 2-2, the Chargers have the first-ranked offense and the fifth ranked defense in the league. Stats don't mean everything, but it should be a easy win over the inconsistent Raiders team.

Swink's prediction: Chargers in on the road

Philadelphia at San Francisco

I've seen four quarters of play from Eagles quarterback Kevin Kolb and haven't been impressed yet. He sure isn't afraid to check the ball down and looks extremely hesitant to throw the deep ball in fear of an interception. The 49ers gave last week's game away against the Falcons and have looked horrible to start the season. I see this game going either way, with the outcome decided by the defenses of both teams.

Swink's prediction: 49ers win at home

Minnesota at NY Jets

Even though the Vikings won their first game before their Week 4 bye week, they don't have an easy road ahead of them. The Jets looked dominant against the Bills last week, and I'm impressed by the resurgence of running back LaDainian Tomlinson, who had 155 total yards and two touchdowns last week. It will be a challenge for the Vikings' defense to contain the Jets' running attack.

Swink's prediction: NY Jets win at home
