JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska -- Airmen from the 514th Air Mobility Wing perform maintenance actions during RED FLAG-Alaska, which is the Pacific Air Forces premier field training exercise for U.S. forces and their partner and allies. The exercise provides joint offensive counter-air, interdiction, close air support, and large force employment training in a simulated combat environment. The 514th AMW and 305th AMW are in a “classic association,” as the aircraft are owned by an active-duty unit while being flown and maintained by a reserve unit.
