Service member spotlight: strive for better

Q: Why did you join the military?
A: I originally joined because it was a opportunity to get money for college. Sixteen years later I remain in the military because I am proud to be a Soldier, defend my country and develop future soldiers.

Q: What is your job and what is its impact on the mission?
A: I work in the logistics field as a 92Y. I Support the overall readiness of the unit by ensuring Soldiers have the items the need whether stateside or heading overseas to complete the mission/task at hand.

Q: Do you have any past or current family members in military?
A: No

Q: Who most inspires you?
A: Although my grandmother has never served a day in the military, she always inspires me to be the best at whatever I do and reach for the stars.

Q: What is one thing you'd like your fellow service members to take away or understand about the military?
A: While the military's main goal is to fight the nations war, the military offers a family for those without, self-development, encouragement to constantly strive for better and a diverse network of people that you will not be able to find anywhere else.
