Cline, 87th Force Support Squadron air department electronic technician, is the joint base's featured service member of the week. Cline calls Silver Spring, Md., home. Q: Why did you join the military? A: My grandfather was in the navy and I wanted the same training and discipline that made his successful in life. Q: What is your job and what is its impact on the mission? A: I perform preventative and corrective maintenance on all airfield communications, weather and navigation equipment. Q: Do you have any past or current family members in the military? A: My grandfather was in the navy and my oldest brother was in the army. Q: Who most inspires you? A: My family. Everyone in my family has been through a lot and they still continue to try harder and never give up. Q: What is one thing you'd like your fellow service members to take away or understand about the military? A: It takes a team to become successful. One person can't do everything and working together helps complete each task.
