JB MDL recycing program

David McGee, of the Joint Base Recycling Center, readies the cans for recycling here. After the recycling process is complete the steel cans will command 10 cents per pound with the aluminum cans valued at 53 cents per pound. The proceeds from the recycled items are returned to Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst to defray the costs of the recycling program. Recycling helps reduce the need for landfills thus helping to preserve natural resources. (U.S. Air Force Photo by Russ Meseroll/Released)
