Sailors perform routine flights with Airship at JB MDL
Naval Research Laboratory Military Support Division Scientific Development Squadron is performing routine flights with the MZ-3A Airship. The Airship is 178 feet long, capable of flying up to 9,500 feet and can cruise at 45 knots. The ship is fitted with two 180 horsepower Lycoming engines and can remain aloft and nearly stationary for more than 12 hours.
