JB MDL Elephant Walk

Col. John Roscoe, 305th OG commander originally from Centralia, Pa., speaks with Lt. Col. Jimmy Shaw, 305th Operations Group deputy commander originally from Tucson, Ariz., and Chief Master Sgt. Samuel D’urso, 305th OG superintendent originally from Philadelphia, Pa., about the ‘Elephant Walk’ exercise shortly before it kicked off Dec. 20 here. An ‘Elephant Walk’ is a fundamental training element when preparing for Global Strike Missions. In all, the exercise involved 12 KC-10s as part of a global-strike package designed to demonstrate the capability of the Air Force to assemble a large refueling force. Members of the 32nd and 2nd Air Refueling Squadrons, as well as members of the 305th and 514th Air Mobility Wings, participated in the Employment Defense and Global Engagement exercise.
