Col. John Wood, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst commander, along with servicemembers' children and other senior leaders cut the ribbon on the new Dix Child Development Center Nov. 17, 2011, at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J. The new CDC was specifically designed with children in mind, incorporating modern design technology for safety. The facility can house 180 children and is located near the Garden Terrace housing area and Fort Dix Elementary School, closer to the population it serves. Individuals are from left to right: Col.
