A Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., pilot exits the water after completing a simulated water rescue mission Aug.4, 2011, at Barnegat Bay, N.J. A Coast Guard rescue swimmer guided aircrew members to a rescue basket attached to an H-65 Dolphin rescue helicopter where they were hoisted out of the water and then lowered back down. More than 15 Airmen were hoisted from the water with the help of a Coast Guard rescue swimmer. The aircrew members were also trained on entering and exiting a survival raft, properly wearing a cold water survival suit and staying warm in cold water situations, by Staff Sgt. Andrew Dunn and Staff Sgt. Timothy Giordana, survival, evasion, resistance and escape instructors. (U.S. Air Force photo/Airman 1st Class Dennis Sloan)
