A Coast Guard rescue swimmer from Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City, N.J. stabilizes a rescue basket, which holds a Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., aircrew member as it is hoisted up by an H-65 Dolphin rescue helicopter Aug. 4, 2011, at Barnegat Bay, N.J. More than 15 Airmen were hoisted from the water with the help of a Coast Guard rescue swimmer. Staff Sgt. Andrew Dunn and Staff Sgt. Timothy Giordana, Joint Base MDL survival, evasion, resistance and escape instructors, trained aircrew members on several water survival techniques to include entering and exiting a survival raft, properly wearing a cold water survival suit and staying warm in cold water situations.
