Soldiers compete in Best Warrior Competition at JB MDL

Soldiers of the 800th Military Police Brigade participated in the unit's Best Warrior Competition April 14 through 17 at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst. Soldier of the Year was awarded to Spc. William Stenack of the 744 MP Battalion out of Bethlehem, Pa. Noncommissioned officer of the Year is Sgt. Jorge Medina, representing the 812th MP Company, 310th MP Bn. Headquartered in Uniondale, N.Y. Events included equipment shake down, the Army Physical Fitness Test, weapons disassembly, assembly and function check, weapons zero and qualification, land navigation, three medical Army Warrior Tasks, an oral board and ruck march. Winners were presented an Army Accommodation Medal and commander's coin for excellence. All competitors were presented with a certificate of achievement and commanders coin from the 800th MP Bde. Command Sgt. Maj. Andrew Lombardo on behalf of the commander, Brig. Gen. John Cornelius. The winners will go on to compete in the 200th MP Command board here May 26. (U.S. Army photo by Army 1st.
