Aircraft launch bulletin from paper to computer
Flight crews responsible for launching aircraft from the decks of carriers could be replacing paper tables with the Catapult Capacity Selector Valve Calculator. The CSV Calculator, which is being developed by the Naval Air Systems Command at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst with New Jersey-based contractor Specialty Systems, is used to set the energy level needed for a launch on an aircraft carrier.
