Coast Guard Boatswain Mate 1st Class James V. Maida, a USCG Atlantic Strike Team member from Joint Base Mcguire-Dix-Lakehurst, supervises the placing of a boom at strategic areas around Dolphin Island, Ala., for the protection of turtle and endangered bird nesting areas.
