JB MDL MUD RUN

Airman 1st Class Dennis Sloan, 87th Air Base Wing public affairs, slides down a dirt hill into muddy water more than 7 feet below on the “Steeple Chase” obstacle during a test run of the annual “Beast of the East” McGuire Mud Run. The practice was held to ensure all of the obstacles are both safe and challenging for participants of the main event, set to begin at 9 a.m. Saturday.
