Jennifer Armento, 87th Civil Engineering Natural Resource Ecologist, uses a tabletop model to demonstrate how pollution from streets, housing areas and businesses get washed down into the local watershed and contaminates streams and other water sources during an Earth Day event April 21 at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst. Tyler Ferson, son of Jennifer and Army Lt. Col. Victor Ferson, 244th Aviation Brigade, and Andrew Lara, son of Rebecca and Army Maj. Erik Lara, 244th Aviation Brigade, watched and asked questions during the demonstration. The watershed is the area of land where all water that is under or drains off it goes into the same place.
