The final nail in the coffin, literally
This photo was taken sometime in 1970, about a year before my father died in a car accident. This was the last time we had a "formal" family photo taken as children. The changes his death wrought included the exclusion of family photos. Neither money nor my mother's work schedule allowed for another family photo. Years later, as young adults, my sisters and brother and I surprised our mother with a current family photo. I'm in the middle, approximately 4 years old. (Courtesy photo)
