CE sheds light
Airman Javier Lodge changes the fastening bolts on a street lamp here at the intersection of West Arnold and Tuskegee Airmen avenues Oct. 8. The current bolts are being replaced with larger bolts, shown by Staff Sgt. Hasheen Maxwell, which are made with a grasping feature. This is the fifteenth lamp out of 400 he and his coworkers will repair and upgrade in light of damage from the recent high winds. The new hardware is intended to prevent further repairs of this kind. Airman Lodge, an electrical systems apprentice with the 87th Civil Engineer Squadron, is from Tampa, Fla. Sergeant Maxwell, an electrical systems journeyman also with the 87th CES, hails from Atlanta. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt. Denise Johnson)
