Can Do Crew
The Can Do Crew would like to recognize Staff Sgt. Covanis Benjamin from the 305th Communications Squadron. Sergeant Benjamin is a 3A who transferred from finance to the Communications Squadron six weeks ago, and she hit the ground running! Within just five days of working at the NCC help desk, she was taking calls, answering questions and solving problems as if she had been working there for months or years. In the first two weeks of her working at the help desk, the NCC received several compliments to her professionalism and dedication to duty. Sergeant Benjamin is a very determined individual; she does not stop until the job is complete. She is meticulous and thorough in her daily duties. Through her hard work and determination she has stepped up to be one of the most knowledgeable NCOs at the helpdesk and really leads the way! Staff Sgt. Kathryn Hutchens, NCC training monitor, said, “I believe she would do any job she was given with a Can Do smile and an attitude to match. I have never seen her do anything half-way ... she has one way of doing things and that is to do it right no matter what it takes. Sergeant Benjamin always keeps her focus on the mission and exudes strong leadership qualities; for this reason her peers and troops can look up to her as a mentor. She is definitely a go-getter with a constant Can Do attitude and deserves the recognition!” Sergeant Benjamin truly epitomizes the spirit of the Can Do wing! Be aware that the “Can Do Crew” is everywhere, looking for outstanding service. They covertly seek members of Team McGuire who make a difference, identifying and recognizing only the best! Remember, the strongest asset of Team McGuire is its people; you are what makes McGuire a better place to live, work and play!
