Courtesy photo The McGuire Falcons won the 4th annual Jr. Basketball Invitational Tournament. The tournament for high school-aged basketball teams was hosted by the 305th Services Squadron Youth Sports Department from March 9 through 11 at the McGuire Fitness Center. This was the first time McGuire has won the tournament. McGuire beat Delran, N.J., in the championship game, 38-33. McGuire was led by its tournament MVP Anthony Malvaso, and all-tournament team members; Zac Sotomayor, Ryan Gauze and Jesse Ditter. Delran was led by division I recruit, Devin Williams of Holy Cross High School. McGuire's Coach, Kevin J. Hansen said, "His team won the tournament because of the senior leadership of point guard Anthony Malvaso. Anthony showed tremendous leadership during the three-day event. He will definitely be a college-level player next year." The third place game was won by Langley who beat Dover, 37-34. The three-day tournament featured high school teams from Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, Massachusetts and Virginia.
