McGuire Airmen win big at Rodeo 2009

Col. Gina Grosso, 87th Air Base Wing and Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst commander, greets returning Rodeo 2009 competitors on the flightline here July 25. Senior base leadership, including Col. Scott Smith, 305th Air Mobility Wing commander, Col. Brian O’Connor, 621st Contingency Response Wing commander, and Col. James Kerr, 514th Air Mobility Wing commander, also welcomed the Airmen home. The 621st CRW team was named Best Contingency Response Team, Best Contingency Response HELAMS Team and Best Contingency Response SPICE Team. Airmen from the 87th Security Forces team won Best Combat Endurance Team and Best Close Precision Engagement Team. Teams from the 305th AMW and 514th AMW won Best C-17 Backing/Combat Offload Crew, Best KC-10 Cargo Loading Crew, Best KC-10 Pre-flight Crew and Best KC-10 Maintenance Team.
