McGuire goes ‘green’ with solar panel installation
Douglas Sandlaufer, Garland Energy Systems, explains the purpose and functions of a solar panel kiosk to Col. Gina Grosso, 87th Air Base Wing commander, at the medical clinic March 27. The kiosk displays the hourly, weekly, and monthly energy production of the newly-installed solar panels. The 75kw photovoltaic system at the clinic will generate approximately three percent of the total annual electric energy consumed by the facility – resulting in savings of approximately $43,000 annually.
