JFEX 09-03

2nd Lt. Ryan Fisher, a logistics officer with the 817th Contingency Response Group, takes a coffee break in the Joint Operations Center during a Joint Forcible Entry Exercise at Fort Bragg, N.C., March 2-8. Following the airfield seizure portion of the exercise, Lieutenant Fisher's aerial port team formed the backbone of a Joint Task Force-Port Opening mission. After off-loading cargo from a C-17 and C-130, the aerial porters set-up an aerial port of debarkation and worked with the Army's 689th Rapid Port Opening Element to move the supplies to a forward distribution node.
