Best-selling author visits McGuire

Left, Steven Hartov, author of “In the Company of Heroes,” signs a book for Senior Airman Maurice Johnson, 421st Combat Training Squadron instructor, at the library Feb. 25. The author visited McGuire to discuss his writing career as well as the story of Michael Durant, the pilot of Black Hawk Down helicopter Super Six Four that crashed during a combat operation in Mogadishu, Somalia, in 1993. Attendees had the chance for a question and answer session with Mr. Hartov and to get their books signed at the end. The McGuire Library has special events coming up in March as well, including “Decorating a user-friendly home” with a professional interior designer, March 25 at 6:30 p.m., and “Women Entrepreneurs” March 26 at 6:30 p.m. For more information or to sign up (by March 20), call (609) 754-2079.
